June is considered as a national safety month in USA. During this month, different individuals and organizations partake in efforts to reduce the prime causes of unintentional lesion and demise on roads. Recently Verizon conducted a survey on commercial fleets in USA to raise awareness.
Verizon conducted two types of survey i.e. the safest states for driving and the safest driver behavior, Rhode Island is ranked as the safest state while Montana is on the top of dangerous driving states. Driving behavior of North Dakota fleet is safest while Utha’s fleet drivers had the most dangerous driving behavior. Driving behavior was analyzed on basis of speeding, braking, fast acceleration and harsh cornering. This survey was conducted on 6,215 vehicles for a periods of two years October 2015 to September 2017. The company related its findings with the fatalities reports per vehicle miles travelled, average speeding events per day and average speeding events per mile.
